I was potentially a new customer. Not after today. I wasted my time and gas on the knowledge that if I made it to your Lynchburg store quick enough, I would get the tires I desperately need. Much to my disappointment, when I arrived, I was turned away. They let a 4 tire sale walk out of the door for a flat repair. What happened to the days of helping every last customer til close? Guess your establishment didn't need my business, therefore someone else will get it.
I got a flat tire on Friday evening and the following Monday when it arrived I called to make sure it had arrived. Talking to Victor Dunn over the phone he told me to bring my car in to get the tire replaced. I arrived at 11:45am and they had the tire replaced by 12:10pm. And Victor handled the insurance claim for me over the phone and while doing that he was helping another customer get setup for a state inspection. The entire time I was there I never saw him stop moving between answering the phones, setting up tickets, quoting tires/services and cashing out customers. This man was impressive. Not often in today's age do you see someone actually work hard and know what they are doing but Victor and his team in the garage knew exactly what they were doing and did their jobs extremely well. A big thanks to them who got me in and out before my lunch break was over. Whoever is the owner of this store needs to give these guys a raise or a few days more of paid vacation. I was so impressed that I will always recommend going to them for my auto needs.
I deeply appreciate your store being open on Sundays. My wife and I experienced car trouble on Saturday evening much to dismay no auto places where open due to our problem. Our battery was completely dead. So we decided to go to Merchant's Tire over on Murray Place. First off I want to clarify something when you need to change an appointment make sure to change it in your system and fit that person in, clearly Victor did not do that, when my wife called he said that I showed up an hour later after my schedule time. (Don't lie to the customer), and especially to my wife. I called the store and spoke with Victor at 11:47 am, and clearly said that I need to re-schedule for a later time. He said no problem we have to fit you in. I arrived at the store. Clean to the most part, Victor was running and doing check in's and check out's. His professionalism was great until you lied about my call to you and telling my wife that I just walked in an hour later. Second the prices are sky-rocketed, way to rip the customer off, I know that you have to make money, but to have an oil change of $80 bucks that is crazy! I will make sure to ask about prices next time, because I was not told the prices when I ordered the oil change. ASK VICTOR! Third you have 2 people who work on Sundays! That's not good for business, I understand that you may need to employ more people. I will not be back to this store and will not recommend this store to anybody.
I was an employee of merchants tire but i quit this morning because the Store Manager of store #618 Victor Dunn has very bad habits......So here we go let me start by saying if you have a BLOWN HEAD GASKET and need an oil change..Victor Dunn will do it anyway......If you are ever short on cash hell no problem jusy stop on by store #618 and Victor Dunn will give you some cash out of the register...as he does it all the time him self and leaves the register short damn near every single night......And last but not least he treats his Customers and Employees like they are kids on the playground and talks to them any way he pleases....I wouldn't let him do anything to my bicycle much-less my car !!!!!!
Dont waste your time. I walked in with a hissing tire 33 minutes before closing and the manager looked me in the eye and said 'can't help you'.
