Diamond hill animal hospital is a terrible place. I went in desperately looking for help for my very sick animal. Once arriving and getting inside I was met with hostility and aggression from what I can only assume was the receptionist/vet tech at the time. When asking how much it would be to get my cat, a beloved member of my family for years, to be seen she began to scream at me and my mother and daughter that they only take payment up front. It was not an issue, as I was going to pay for the exam, but the vet tech continued screaming and yelling, telling us that she hears that from all the people that owe her money. She then pointed to a large shelf and yelled, "You see all those folders? Those are one hundred thousand dollars worth of debt from people like you." I was appalled and disgusted with this type of behavior. The vet tech then demanded to know why my cat was not spayed. I explained that the cat was an indoor cat and that she was always small and sick. (She has terrible allergies). So we hadn't found the right moment to get it done. She laughed in our faces, and got up from her chair and went to very loudly talk to another employee about us in front of other customers and loudly enough for us to hear. Needless to say we left. We found a much better vet that was willing to help, and thankfully we got my poor kitty there just in time. She nearly died and Diamond Hill Animal Hospital treated my cat, me, and my mother, and my very young daughter, with no empathy and a rudeness I would not have expected from anywhere, let alone a place supposedly there to save animal lives. I hope the staff realizes how rude they acted, how badly they upset my four year old, and how they need to change their attitude. I will NEVER be returning to this awful, awful place.

Wonderfully caring veterinarian and I'm always happy with the care and attention my dogs get! Dr. Dixon makes me feel like my dogs are so special. Everyone there has been very sweet.

My wife and I showed up 5 minutes early for the appointment for vaccinations to be administered to my dog. The vet arrived to the clinic 30 minutes after our appointment time and we hadn't seen anyone but the receptionist at that point. At 35 minutes after our appointment time we were called into a dirty exam room. I noticed immediately that upon the exam table (where the tech instructed me to put my dog) there were pliers, dog teeth with blood on them, blood drops, nail clippings, and dog hair. The clippings and hair were on the counter and floor as well. Needless to say my wife and I walked out of the exam room to the lobby where the vet asked where we were going. I stated that we would be more comfortable taking our dog elsewhere for treatment and left. I was shocked and will never consider asking Diamond Hill to treat my dog.

Receptionist was very rude. My dog was attacked and we brought him in as an emergency walk in. First thing she asked was if he was a fighting dog and if we were using him in fights- I'm guessing because he is a pit mix. I was shocked that she would ask such a thing while my dog is bleeding in my arms. I had to resist the urge to speak my mind to her because I really needed help. She then asked why he was not neutered and told us we needed to pay up front. That wasn't a problem at all but she acted as though we planned on bailing on the bill. I definitely felt very unwelcome by the receptionist and I see that many reviews mention the same things. But once they took him back, they were very good to him. The vet was thorough and helpful and they were gentle. He is thankfully okay, they gave him pain meds and antibiotics. I'm pleased with the care, but still a bit upset at the receptionist.

My family has been taking our pets to Diamond Hill for 3 generations they have always done an outstanding job each time they are very flexible, understanding, and friendly thank you D.H. for being there for our family both human and k9
