We needed four new tires for a failed state inspection. We went in as soon as they opened on a Friday, and they had about 15 options that they had all four tires for in stock. They were very helpful in choosing options.
Then, after they replaced it, I thought to ask if they'd be willing to do the follow up state inspection, and they got it done within 30 minutes without prior notice.
Customer service needs alot of work. When told to call home phone, do not call my cell phone. Coming in for service early early in the morning and there is only one customer in the lobby , no cars in the bay. Why do I have to call you when your supposed to call me to let me know my service is done.Dude, it is almost closing time really. Oh by the way it was just to get a flat tire serviced. I am not going to find out what you do for a major service problem.
Am update of my review - Last week, in 12 degree weather and a major snowstorm looming I got a call from my Lynchburg College student that he had an antifreeze leak. Just what I needed to hear. I called Kerr and spoke once again with Wayne. Even though we couldn't get there until close to the end of the day, Wayne assured me he would evaluate the leak that afternoon. A cracked radiator meant a "must do" fix and quick. Wayne had my student back on the road the next day - at a very fair price and with great service. I feel quite lucky to have found a service and repair shop that takes away the stress of having my student away from home. Thank you Wayne. He got home to me safe and sound - even if he did have to shovel snow here for days on days.
This was our first experience with them, so I can't speak to the quality of their work, but if nothing else, their service was phenomenal!
Sometimes when I see a bad review from a customer talking about a place I use, I just have to respond. I have had many repairs done at Kerr Tire Park avenue store. I have had warranty work done also. They have stood by there work and honored warranties with no problem. If the repair done is past it's warranty date, It's like all other places, like Sears, Goodyear, Walmart, etc. Dave Durbin Is a class act Gentleman who Ive met and who has always done great by me. Scott, I have met at the Forest Road location is Smart, Helpful and a good guy just trying to help. Im sure if you were dissatisfied, it is because the part failed after the warranty expired. Rest assured People, I will continue to bring my 3 cars to Kerr Tire with total trust and confidence and you should too! And yes,This is My real Name.
As an out of town parent of a Lynchburg College student I needed to find a local automotive facility. After calling and speaking with Wayne, I scheduled a next morning appointment to work around class schedules. In a word they were awesome. Nice to know there is a quality and reputable place to rely on.
