Very nice surprise. Clean and staff super friendly. Small and simple but worth the price.
I was very shocked at how clean, quiet, and safe this motel was. Good continental breakfast and great location!
Usually a small, local motel, makes you head down the road looking for a "chain". Not this one, Yes, the exterior is a bit dated, but they also do everything right. The Manager brought soft drinks to the occupants of our two cars while I was checking in. Rooms are very clean. Fixtures in the bathroom gleam. The main hot dish for breakfast changes daily and is tasty. The swimming pool is crystal clear. The grounds are kept up well, and you can see families gather and play near the picnic tables. Security is good with camera's in the hallways. Mattresses are comfortable but will need to be updated soon to keep up with the "chains" I use to travel 25 out of 30 days a month and know a skunk when I see one; not this place. A definite place to stay when in the Lynchburg area!
Some of the staff here is really rude!!! I called to ask a few questions, was super nice to the staff just wanted to know about a job posting (obviously I'm going to be nice if I'm interested in getting a job) the woman at the front desk who claimed to be a manager when first realizing why I was calling HUNG UP on me. So I called back a little confused I hear when she picks up "do you see what I have to deal with?" Talking to one of her coworkers I'm assuming and says "hello?" With an attitude; still giving her the benefit of the doubt I readdress my question about the posting and SHE DOES IT AGIAN! *click* it takes a lot to get under my skin and I guess I was just having a bad day at the time but I called right back. Needless to say she was still rude especially when I confronted her for hanging up on me. If this incident is any reflection of how the hotel is ran do not waste your time. Management is ALWAYS a mirror image of the quality of service. I wouldn't waste my time writing this long story if I didn't think she was genuinely just a rude person, you can't make this stuff up folks. I'm glad I didn't even apply because I'm much happier working hard somewhere else.
I gave this motel 3 stars because the price was great! Its a little dated, but I like the fact you don't enter directly from the street; you actually go inside the building. It was clean, the staff pleasant, and unfortunately we did not find out about the breakfast break room until we were checking out. I was very disappointed the staff did not mention it to us--we were at the other end of the motel, and would not know it was there unless told. They offered Belgian waffles, sausage, unlimited juice, coffee, and cereal, a t.v. It was pretty cool! which is why I was disappointed. However, the manager was kind enough to offer a consolation, once he found out. All in all we were pleased with our stay.
