We just recently moved to Lynchburg from out of state. The staff at Lynchburg Utilities Department were extremely helpful, processed our water and trash needs quickly, and even allowed us to have a friend come in to pay the deposit needed to set up an account. It would be helpful if the department updated their online services (make it easier to register accounts and pay bills online), however the people are wonderful and helpful and we appreciated their kindness.
The website is extremely frustrating; not user-friendly at all. It needs major improvement ASAP due to several functions not properly working. For example, when prompted to enter an account number, it is error prone, which results in my inability to pay my bills online. Not acceptable for a website in 2016.
