We just moved & live exactly halfway between Lowe's and The Home Depot so we have been alternating between the two. So far, we are so much more impressed with The Home Depot. We can always find a staff member to ask questions to & sometimes they are very willing to go out of their way to help us. One associate in particular, Dennis, was outstanding as he helped us find the exact right light bulb inside a lamp that was hanging in the store. We're sure that we will need to return soon and look forward to choosing The Home Depot before other home & hardware stores.
I like Home Depot's large selection of quality faucets and have purchased mine there. I've also purchased my professional grade weeder, blower, and chain saw there because they carry the brand I like. It's difficult to find someone to help you, but when you do, they're very knowledgeable about the products and they'll take their time with you.

Wow, today was a great experience at Home Depot. We went to get a gallon of paint. The gentleman who helped us was top notch. He gave me some ideas for finishing a wall. Great customer service!
BUYER BEWARE!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I bought a set of appliances here during a Black Friday “promotion” and was told our quoted price would be good for 24 hours. We came back the next day and had to get a new quote because we were slightly over the time allowance and the stove we wanted was out of stock so we had to switch to another. We were told the same promotion from the day before would be rung up at the register and that we would pay the quoted price. The cashier forgot to ring us up for the promotion and charged us full price for all our appliances. When we asked to speak to a manager she first told us she would not refund our money at all. Finally she told us she “did not agree” with our quoted price (even though two of her associates quoted us for that same price) But she would issue a partial refund for the promotion price. The manager was extremely condescending and rude to us even though we were not making a scene or acting ugly we were simply asking her to explain why we couldn’t get our original price refunded. We decided to come back on a different day to talk to a second manager who turned out to be just as rude as the first. She wrote us off right from the beginning and did not seem to understand or listen our situation. She told us that the original manager did us a “huge favor” by giving us a partial refund at all. All because their own cashier rang us up incorrectly. I will never give Home Depot my business again and I don’t recommend you do either.
