We traveled all the way from Washington State to check this place out and we were not disappointed!!! Mrs. Joy is amazing. We did her cookie decorating class and had so much fun! Her shaved ice is amazing. Doughnuts melt in you mouth. Cookies are divine. Totally worth checking out.
This is a must if you're visiting the Burg! Mrs. Joy's is a life changing experience! Best glazed donut you will ever have... Period!
Mrs. Joy's has been an amazing addition to the businesses downtown. I have worked downtown for years. It is nice to finally have solid businesses open. I have honestly never been disappointed with anything I have gotten from there. Her chocolate chip cookies are to die for. They are the perfect texture and tasty. They are very easily the best chocolate chip cookie I will ever eat. The shop is always clean and is a great spot to hang with friends. The staff is also super sweet and they work hard to make sure that their customers are satisfied. And the cookie classes are super fun, too! I was surprised how well our cookies turned out. Mrs. Joy is such a great teacher! If you haven't tried this place, you definitely should.
Also don't be afraid to say hi to Mrs. Joy who's usually back baking in the kitchen. Her and her family are some of the nicest people on the earth. Let her know that Jack said "Hi", I'm sure she'll give you a discount if you do. ;)
I have only ever had a magnificent experience at this place! She took my favorite cookie, oatmeal raisin, and made it better with something I don't even like, cherries! That's how good Mrs. Joy is! I've had cupcakes, cookies, and cinnamon rolls, and I've loved ALL of them!
Thee best place in town for fresh baked goods. The donut dog is the best. The cupcakes are awesome! Nothing mass produced at this bakery. The icing is buttery and delicious. I can’t say enough about this place. Now I know why Mrs. Joy won Cupcake Wars.
