All the animals seem very well taken care of and come to you for love when you visit. I got my cat Archie here and he is the sweetest cat. Would definitely adopt from here again.
They really care about the animals here. I adopted two puppies from here and they made sure that they were up to date on their shots and arranged follow on visits here. I have never seen volunteers so dedicated to their cause.
Honestly preferred it at the old shelter. I'm happy the animals get more attention, but the quality of it seems to have gone down. Before I'd go every sunday to see the animals and the ladies behind the desk knew me and my mother and we were allowed in the kennels to love on the animals and allowed to take them out for the day no problem. Now that they are larger it seems everyone wants to come out to see the animals. Where were they when this place was small.
Brought a cat their today and they would not take it. They told me to take it back home and don't feed it. Just let it run off. I thought that's what they're job was to take in stray animals and find them a home. It was a friendly cat would make someone a god pet. Won't be going back there again.
We visited the Humane Society today, Free Cat Friday. We wanted to adopt 2 young cats. We were told that we could not adopt the cats because the cats were not going to live "inside" full time. We live on 4.7 acres and our other cat loves his outside adventures and freedom. It is so sad that they would want their cats to live in cages rather then have forever homes. We have two dogs who are rescues and 1 cat. I'm sorry that there are 2 cute cats living in cages when they could be here with us at our home. It's very sad.
