Neat place in the middle of the city, but don't go wading because you will surely get a fish hook in your foot.
Hiking, biking, bird watching, this place has it all. You can take the trail all the way downtown and have lunch if you want. I've been using this trail for 15 years. It does get busy on nice weekends.
