I first came to Redeemer in 2004 at a critical juncture in my faith-I was emotionally exhausted by the "culture wars" and fairly disenchanted with The Church as an institution. I was invited to a small group facilitated by Redeemer and I never turned back, eventually attending the church services, becoming a member, and involving myself fully in multiple ministries. The community is meaningful, and faithful not only to meeting your needs but also to holding you accountable. I eventually fell in love with Reformed doctrine thanks to "Big Mike" Sharrett and the shift in my perspective made my faith come alive. I've since moved to Texas, but I have continued to regularly download Mike's cerebral, yet accessible sermons, and I miss the congregation deeply. I count myself fortunate to have been one of the members there and would heartily recommend it as a church home to anyone.
My family became involved in this church about 7 months after it first organized in 2004. We have "grown up" in our faith as a result of being in this church. In fact, I would contest that the biggest problem with this church is that the preaching you hear might compel you to do something radically different with your life as a result of understanding biblical truth at a deeper level. You might find yourself having a burning desire to leave your comfort zone, take a leap of faith and do things you might have thought impossible or impractical. If you are afraid of the gospel resonating in your being like that, stay away. Otherwise, drop by, invest yourself in the life of the church, immerse yourself in the good teaching and buckle up for a wildly rewarding ride. It happened to me. Be careful! ;)
Originally Saint Barnes presbytery Church and then closed in early 2009, Then taking over by Redeemer Presbyterian Church
It is such a blessing to have a church that continually challenges you to grow in your faith. This has been our family's church home for 6 years now and we truly appreciate the community that has grown here.
God centered worship.
