Very friendly staff. Good selection of equipment and gear. I've taken various bikes here for assistance and repairs. I've never felt anything but welcome. They even greeted my dog enthusiastically! They have my business whenever I needed bicycle or unicycle work.

First off, the staff is absolutely phenomenal. They're friendly, fun to be around and know their way around a bike. I was having some mechanical issues with my Trek Emonda, so I brought it in and asked them to take a look. Van, my favorite mechanic at the shop, took the bike back behind the counter and immediately started working on it. He then invited me around so he could show me exactly what was going on and what he was doing. Like most road cyclists, I really care about my bike and I like to know what my mechanics are going to do, BEFORE they actually do it. So being able to sit in the back with Van as he explained what he was doing and why was super helpful.

The team at Bikes Unlimited is fantastic! They transitioned me, at 58, from running to cycling with the correct bike and equipment. Their expertise and care have enabled me to continue cycling though the years by making numerous adjustments to accommodate degenerative joints and muscle issues. A couple months later, I was in the market for a new bike. I ended up settling on a Trek Damone (which I love, by the way). Van fitted me in the shop and let me take it out for a test ride around Lynchburg. When I decided to purchase a couple of days later, John (the owner) hooked me up with a great deal and made sure I was happy.
Just plain easy! Filled out a form real quick, got our bikes an paid when we got back. They even rounded down so we didn't have to pay for another full hour when we were only a few minutes past. No issues at all, the bikes were comfortable and we were literally in and out in minutes.
Bike shops, like auto mechanics, are typically hit or miss and, when you find a good one, you stay with them for life.
